A defrocked clergyman, a stormy night at the Costa Verde Hotel in Acapulco, a world at war, a dying poet — and the scene is set for THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA, perhaps the most spiritually meaningful work from Tennessee Williams, one of the premier virtuosos of the 20^th century theatrical canon.

“THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA poses critical questions of faith and identity that are particularly relevant today as we navigate a dangerously alienated world where true intimacy and social connection struggle to survive. Describing this epic as “a play about love in its purest terms,” Tennessee, in his embrace of taboo and his empathy for characters living on the edge as they seek refuge, offers a merciful answer.
